Krystal Jackson spent her entire college career at UCLA and was a three-year starting setter and team captain. She was chosen to the All-Pac 10 team, the AVCA All-Pacific Region team and as an AVCA All-American her senior season. She is currently 4th all-time in setting assists in the Bruin record book. After graduating with a degree in Sociology in 2004, Krystal played three years on the AVP Pro Beach Tour. She placed 5th in the World University Games held in Cyprus and traveled to France, Monaco and Trinidad to represent the USA. Krystal has been coaching at Torrey Pines HS at both the JV and Varsity level the last four years and is starting her fifth season with the Wave. She has posted impressive results in her short time with the club. Her Wave 12’s finished first overall in the SCVA regular season and took home a Bronze medal at the Junior Olympics. The following year her 13’s placed second overall in the SCVA 14’s and took home another Bronze at the JO’s. Last year her 14’s finished 5th overall playing “up” in the SCVA 15’s and brought home another Bronze in 14 Open from the JO’s. Krystal lives with her husband, Curtis, in Encinitas and loves to play with her dog “Sake”.
